First orientation at the library

Overview of our range of services, our locations and the conditions of use

Registration for members of Potsdam University is free.

Members of the University (i.e. researchers, lecturers) can appoint up to four persons who can borrow and check out books in the name of the library card holder. Please use the corresponding form: Erteilung der Abholberechtigung.
If you want to use one library account for more than one person (e.g. for research groups) special terms of use apply - all of which you will find in the corresponding application form: Antrag und Merkblatt zur Korporativnutzung

Please note that media from the textbook collection can only be borrowed by students of Potsdam University.
Special due dates are possible for researchers and lecturers at the University of Potsdam.

Should you require a book or other media for a longer period, please talk to us at the information desk.

Special deadlines:

lendable media	6 months
media from the non-lendable collection (monographs)	1 week
journals and loose-leaf publications	not possible

Please note: The extended loan period can be reduced to the regular period if other users need the item.
